When Gabi thought she was simply enjoying a magical HOLIDAY with her boyfriend at a stunning castle in the heart of Ireland, Nicolas had something far more extraordinary in mind.
Over two months ago, he reached out to me for help in planning a surprise proposal. They were traveling from the U.S. to Ireland, and Nicolas wanted every detail to be meaningful. But the surprises didn’t end there—he secretly flew her parents over to be part of this special moment, and Gabi had no idea they would be there to celebrate with them.
To convince her about the photoshoot, he told her the hotel offered a special package that included a spa day followed by a photoshoot. She was all in! Having never done a professional photo session before, she was thrilled—finally, a perfect excuse to dress up. Little did she know, the real surprise was yet to come.
To make the moment even more magical, I brought a bouquet of fresh, summery flowers and a bottle of champagne—my signature touch. With everything set, I met them in the hotel lobby, introducing myself as if I had never met Nicolas before, keeping the surprise perfectly intact. We started the session on the castle premises, taking our time to wait for her parents to arrive.
When the moment was right, I received a text from her mom, and I casually suggested they head to the rose garden—the spot Nicolas had chosen for their big moment. Meanwhile, her parents, quietly watching from the pub, were capturing every precious second from afar, recording it all on their phones.
She had no idea what was coming and was absolutely over the moon when the proposal happened, you can almost feel her surprise and joy just by looking at these pictures.
Afterwards, I invited them to the pub for a toast and to capture a few more moments. As they approached, she spotted her dad's phone case and was instantly overcome with emotion. At that point, no one could hold back the tears, not even myself!
We wrapped up the session in the beautiful walled garden of the castle, offering them some space to reflect and fully absorb the emotions of the day. Watching them share their thoughts and feelings in such a peaceful setting was truly heartwarming. It was an incredibly special day, not just for them, but for me as well. Moments like these remind me of how lucky I am to be a part of such intimate, joyful occasions. I'm always honored to witness and capture one of the happiest milestones in my clients' lives, and this day was no exception.
